Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Replace Lock Screen Shortcuts

By default, shortcuts that displayed on lock screen are usually four icons of the most popular apps, such as Phone, Internet, Camera and ChatOn. But, if one or more of them are the shortcuts that you don't want to be there, then you can change them with any shortcuts of app you want.


How to change shortcuts on lock screen?
To do so, there are two possible ways that you can do to replace an existing shortcuts on your Samsung Galaxy SIII lock screen. They are:

1. Replacing shortcuts by deleting one of them then add the new one.
The first ways that you can do to change an existing shortcuts on lock screen is by deleting the required shortcuts you want to remove then use the blank spot to add the new shortcuts you want.

2. Replacing shortcuts by selecting from the list of shortcuts.
Kindly follow the steps listed below to replace an existing shortcuts on lock screen using the second ways:
  • Go to Settings.
  • Scroll to Lock screen, then tap on it.
  • Tap Lock screen option.
  • Make sure you've enable Shortcuts option. When the slider next to this option shows green or in the right side means this option is turned on.
  • Tap Shortcuts.
  • Long press the required shortcuts you wish to change.
  • Now you will see a list of available shortcuts.
  • Tap the required shortcuts you want to add to change the existing ones.
  • Tap Home screen to return to the standby mode.

Once your phone is locked, you will see the old shortcuts was replaced with the new one that you've just selected. Also by knowing two possible ways to change an existing shortcuts on your lock screen, now you can replace an unused or unwanted shortcuts with the shortcuts of your favourites apps or with the most frequently used apps.
