Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Clear Youtube Search History with 2 Easy Ways

As we all know that Youtube is the most popular video-sharing website today which will allow the users to upload, view and share their videos with everyone or with certain person only. In Samsung Galaxy SIII you'll find the Youtube app as one of the stock apps. So, if you already activated your Google account on your phone, then you can directly use this app.

By default, Youtube app will record your search histories to helps you more easier to track what you have searched before. But, in certain case you might be don't want the app to do so or you don't want others knows your Youtube search histories. Luckily, there some methods to do so, you can see the two of them as listed below.


First method: Clear search history through the Youtube settings menu
Below are the steps to do so:
  1. Open Youtube app.
  2. Tap the Menu key then select Settings.
  3. Tap Search.
  4. Tap Clear search history option to erase the existing Youtube search histories, and then tap OK button to confirm erasing the histories.
  5. You can also tick the check box next to Never remember history option to tell the app not to remember your search history in the future.

Second method: Clear Youtube search history by clearing the application data
Below are the steps to do so:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Application manager.
  3. Swipe to the All screen.
  4. Scroll down to find the Youtube app, then tap it.
  5. Tap Clear data button, and then tap OK button to confirm clearing the app data.

For the record, the second methods will only erase the history and once you use the Youtube app to search video then it will start to record your history again. So, if you wish to erase the history and set the app to not record them, then you can use the first method to do so. Well, hope this helps :)
