Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Use Emergency Mode in Android 5.0.1 Lollipop

When you have enabled emergency mode in your Samsung Galaxy S5, you'll be provided with the home screen contains with some essential apps and those selected by you. You'll also be provided with information about remaining battery power and estimated battery standby time so that you will know the standby time remaining before the battery power on you device runs out. But, you have to remember that the device settings and operating conditions can effect the estimated standby time.


How to use emergency mode?
While you're in the emergency mode home screen, you can do the following actions:
  1. : tap it to access additional options available in the emergency mode, e.g: settings menu, the option to remove apps that you have selected before and the option to disable emergency mode.
  2. : tap it to sound alarms.
  3. : tap it to open Phone app and use it to access dial pad, view call logs and make a call to a contact.
  4. : tap it to add more apps.
  5. : tap it to activate flashlight and use it as a torch.
  6. : tap it to share information about current location to a contact via message.
  7. : tap it to open the stock Browser app and use it to browse webpages, search something online, etc.
  8. Emergency call : tap this button to make an emergency call.
